Your pain is personal. Your care should be too.

Whether you’re experiencing back or neck pain, recovering from a sporting injury or dealing with ongoing discomfort, finding a practitioner who takes the time to understand you can make a meaningful difference.

For Dr. Jarrod Alivizatos, osteopath and founder of Muscle Joint Bone, good patient care begins with listening—not just to your symptoms, but to your story.

Experience shaped by life, not just textbooks

After surviving a near-fatal car accident, Jarrod experienced firsthand the physical, emotional and psychological challenges that can accompany trauma and recovery.

That experience changed his perspective on healthcare and inspired him to explore the relationship between physical pain and emotional wellbeing.

He went on to study Gestalt psychotherapy, developing a deeper appreciation of how stress, emotional experiences and psychological factors can influence the experience of pain.

Today, Jarrod combines his osteopathic training with this broader understanding of the mind-body connection, taking an individualised approach to assessment, treatment and rehabilitation.

Extensive experience in elite sport

Jarrod has managed player rehabilitation for two major AFL clubs and currently manages the medical teams for the Coburg Giants and Craigieburn Eagles within the Victorian Basketball League (VBL), supporting their men’s and women’s Division 1 and Youth League programs.

His involvement in high-performance sport has given him extensive exposure to injury management, rehabilitation and the physical demands placed on athletes.

Yet Jarrod believes that whether you’re an elite athlete, a weekend footballer, a busy parent or someone managing persistent pain, you deserve the same careful attention and consideration.

What you can expect from Jarrod

At Muscle Joint Bone, Jarrod takes time to understand your symptoms, medical history, lifestyle and personal goals.

His approach involves listening to your concerns, assessing your movement and musculoskeletal health, explaining his findings and discussing appropriate management options.

You’ll have the opportunity to ask questions, understand your options and participate in decisions about your care.

Outside the clinic, Jarrod coaches the Melbourne Tigers VJBL, mentoring young athletes and encouraging resilience, confidence and personal development.
