Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy (HBOT) in Epping

What We Use HBOT For?

Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy (HBOT) involves breathing high-purity oxygen inside a pressurised chamber, increasing the amount of oxygen carried in your blood to support the body’s natural repair processes. We primarily offer it to support sports recovery, post-surgery healing, soft tissue injuries and general wellness.

Who Oversees Treatment?

Our trained clinical team administers every session, under the supervision of our experienced chiropractors, osteopaths and physiotherapists. All staff hold specific training in hyperbaric safety protocols and emergency procedures, so you’re in safe hands from start to finish.

Your Hyperbaric Session

Walking You Through the Process

From getting comfortable inside the chamber to returning to your day, each session is designed to feel calm, straightforward and professionally supervised.

01 Getting Comfortable

Settle In

Relax inside our modern mild hyperbaric chamber while a comfortable mask or hood is fitted for oxygen delivery.

02 Pressure Builds

Pressurisation

Chamber pressure gradually increases to 1.3–1.5 ATA while you breathe high-purity oxygen throughout the session.

03 During Your Session

Rest & Recover

Sessions generally run for 60–90 minutes. Listen to music, rest or simply relax while your body does the work.

04 After the Session

Back to Your Day

There is generally no downtime, with most clients returning to normal activities or light training shortly afterwards.

INSIDE THE CHAMBER

What It's Like During & After

Most people find sessions very relaxing. You may feel mild ear pressure, similar to flying, which is easily managed with simple equalising techniques your clinician will talk you through beforehand.

There’s no downtime after a session — clients typically return to normal daily activities or light training straight afterwards.

  • 60–90 minute sessions at 1.3–1.5 ATA
  • Mild, manageable ear pressure — like flying
  • No downtime; resume activity straight after
  • Music or rest available throughout

Some clients report feeling more energised or less sore after just a few sessions. Others notice gradual improvements in recovery and comfort over the full course — results vary from person to person and work best as part of an integrated plan.

Support Your Body's Repair Process

What Responds Best To HBOT

Muscle Fatigue

Popular among athletes managing accumulated training load and general muscle fatigue.

Tendon & Soft Tissue

Supports recovery from tendon strain and soft tissue injuries alongside hands-on care.

Post-Operative Recovery

Commonly used to support healing and recovery in the weeks following surgery.

Sports Recovery

Helps active clients recover from training stress between sessions and competitions.

General Wellness

Chosen by clients looking to support overall recovery and everyday wellbeing.

Combined Care

Works best when paired with hands-on chiro, osteo or physio treatment, not on its own.

How Many Sessions You'll Need

Everyone is different, but many clients start with a block of 6–10 sessions, usually 2–3 times per week. From there, we build a maintenance plan tailored to your recovery goals and training schedule, in consultation with your practitioner.

We commonly combine HBOT with chiropractic, osteopathic and physiotherapy treatment, and sometimes PRP, for clients wanting a comprehensive recovery approach.

Your practitioner will help map out a session plan that fits around your existing appointments and your training or competition calendar.

Safety, Screening & Costs

We complete a thorough health screening before every new client’s first session. Key contraindications can include pregnancy, certain untreated lung conditions, claustrophobia, recent ear or sinus surgery, or uncontrolled seizures. Your practitioner will go through everything with you to ensure HBOT is safe and appropriate for you.

At the mild pressures we use for sports recovery and wellness, HBOT is generally entirely out-of-pocket — most private health funds don’t provide rebates for these sessions. We recommend checking with your fund for your specific policy.

WHY CHOOSE MUSCLE JOINT BONE

CLINICALLY SUPERVISED HBOT, DELIVERED BY A TEAM THAT TREATS THE WHOLE RECOVERY — NOT JUST THE TIME YOU SPEND IN THE CHAMBER.

Clinically Supervised, Every Session

Our trained clinical team administers every HBOT session under the supervision of experienced chiropractors, osteopaths and physiotherapists — all holding specific training in hyperbaric safety protocols and emergency procedures.

Built Into Your Recovery Plan

HBOT is scheduled alongside your chiro, osteo or physio appointments — and combined with PRP where clinically appropriate — so oxygen therapy supports the hands-on work, rather than running as a separate, disconnected session.

Backed By Safety Standards

Our chamber is listed on the Australian Register of Therapeutic Goods (ARTG), and every new client completes a full health screening before their first session, so HBOT is only used where it’s genuinely appropriate.
